Kanye West Returns This Summer

Sources have confirmed that Mr. Kanye West is putting the final touches to his 5th studio album. As of now, it is expected to be released in June. It's been a while since Kanye has released a rap album. He's my all-time favorite artist, so I cannot wait for this album to drop.

So to celebrate the big news, here's  one of my favorite Kanye music videos...

New Album: Dave Barnes

The smooth, guitar player is back with another fresh album for all the honey dips. The album, "What We Want, What We Get", drops April 6th, with 10 brand new tracks to get you through the last few months before summer. If you like Matt Wertz, Colbie Caillat, or Eric Hutchinson, then you will definitely like Dave Barnes! I listened to clips of each track and "Look So Easy", "My Love, My Enemy", "God Gave Me You", and "What I Need" are definitely the standouts for me. Take a listen and I am sure you will find a few songs that get your attention.

My New Man-Crush: Bag Raiders

So there is nothing better than stumbling across a new band or musician that you are absolutely diggin'! I was watching the latest episode of "How To Make It In America" and this fresh dance/pop song started playing as the ending credits were rolling. I must say, I started nodding my head really hard to the chorus and started shaking my hips. I never heard a chorus that was this catchy before! The duo is called Bag Raiders and they are from Australia. They are currently working on a new album which will be dropping this summer. Here's the dope song that got me hooked to this duo. In case you are wondering, the chorus that is responsible for my new man crush starts 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the song which is kinda strange time for a chorus to come in. But check it!

Fresh Out The Oven: "This Ain't A Love Song" - Scouting For Girls

Scouting For Girls is dropping their sophomore album in April and here is their lead single off that album. The honey dips are sure to enjoy this one.

Fresh Out The Oven: "Reverse Cowgirl" - T-Pain

With a name like "Reverse Cowgirl", I expected a very sexual and trashy video, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it did not follow all those other sexual, booty grindin' videos. This video is actually kinda artsy. The song is starting to grow on me, so give it a few plays and you might get hooked.

What I've Been Bumpin' This Week (March 2)

In case you don't know, I listen to music nonstop. Back in the 90's I used to bump nothing but hip-hop as I regrettably was rockin' the jean shorts. But at the turn of the century I burned those jean shorts as well as my narrow minded music preferences. I now am very well diversified when it comes to my musical tastes, although hip-hop still remains in my heart. So here are my top 5 tracks that I have been bumpin' constantly this week.

5. Scouting For Girls - "Heartbeat"

4. Chris Brown - "Pass Out"

3. Olivia Broadfield - "Lost In You"

2. B.o.B. - "Nothin' On You"

1. Passion Pit - "Little Secrets"

Jason Derülo

I'm not a huge Jason Derülo fan, but I gotta admit that his music is very catchy. Jason Derülo's self-titled album is hitting stores March 2nd. The last few months have been pretty slow as far as music goes, but this album definitely has a few surprises on it. If you were feelin' his first two singles, "Whatcha' Say" & "In My Head", than you should definitely take a listen to the 9-track album. I posted the link to amazon where you can preview each track on the album along with the video for his 2nd single, "In My Head".
